Funeral services for Pherba Lee Carter, 93, of Frankston were held Tuesday,
April 4 at Renfro Memorial Chapel with Lester Foreman officiating under
direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Burial was in Frankston
City Cemetery.
Mrs. Carter passed away Sunday, April 2, 2006
She was born October 7, 1912 in Bailey, Oklahoma. [the daughter of James &
Bertha Yancey ] She had lived in the Frankston area since 1989. She was a
housewife.
Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by husband Earl Carter in 1955 and a son,
Alvin Carter.
Survivors include sons Charles Carter of Portland, Oregon, Elvin Carter of
California Valley and Ferrell Carter of Oregon; daughters Betty Savage, Jimmie
Noth and Janice Albritton, all of Frankston and Joyce Fitch of Waco; brothers
Jim Yancey of Flagstaff and George Yancey of Hennipen, Oklahoma; eighteen
grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
